HLID

60th anniversary celebration

For the 60th anniversary, the institute was beautifully decorated and the children and young people prepared some lectures. For example, there was a short play in which the teacher asked the children what kind of career they wanted to have when they grew up. In the second scene, these four children were seen as adults, as craftsmen, as hairdressers, as computer specialists. Three young people recited the lyrics of a Jordanian song in sign language. The Bishop of the Anglican Church of Jerusalem and the Middle East also came to visit and was enthusiastic about what is being achieved here. In the picture you can see Bishop Hosam Elias Naoum and on the right Father Jamil, the head of the HLID, translating the bishop’s address into sign language.
